2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Great book By N.C.N. This is a very beautiful and powerful book. Fenech does a great job of bringing the characters of Vincent and Ava to life. One thing that this book does very successfully is to get right in and tell a good story that is concise and well written. It's not overly long, so you keep turning pages to see what will happen, and it still manages to do not leave you feeling like you weren't cheated out of anything. If you are a fan of romance fiction and powerful themes, this book could be good for you. It's not afraid to go some places that other books might avoid.

This is the pinnacle of artful literature.Magnetic Midnight depicts an authentic picture of the very real, incredibly heartbreaking start-to-finish relationship of Ava and Vincent—characters that come to life in an almost melodious tapestry of prose. They are human and flawed, but the journey is deftly composed by Fenech in a style reminiscent of—dare I say it?—Nabokov (I'm talking language, not content). Where the story excels is in its ability to drum up compassion for a damaged heroine and an imperfect, but totally amiable, protagonist. The subject matter isn't light, so have tissues handy…and prepare yourself for storytelling on a level you haven't encountered for a long while.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A powerful tear-jerker. By Sara-Jane Bennetts This story was truly poetic and I'm not just talking about the poetry. Fenech paints a very real and tragic love story which leaves you questioning many of your own philosophy's. A very different love story which leaves you captivated from the beginning; to the point where I lost some serious sleep trying to get to the end and see what happens. Although a sad ending, I was happy Ava finally got what she wanted in the end, to escape her humanity and be at one with nature (At least that's what I took away from this)
