About the Author Will Tinkham is the author of two novels: No Happier State and Alice and Her Grand Bell (Amazon/CreateSpace). He lives and writes in Minneapolis, MN. He has published short fiction on three continents and long ago attended Bread Loaf on a scholarship. Novel excerpts have appeared in 2015 Saint Paul Almanac, Skive Magazine, About Place Journal, The Fieldstone Review, as well as mgv2_69 & mgv2_71 issues and their D-Day 68th Anniversary Anthology. NO HAPPIER STATE IS A RARE TREAT By Mary Vettel NO HAPPIER STATE by Will Tinkham is such a good read, full of well-developed interesting characters whom you’ll be rooting for all the way, some unfortunate periods in our nation’s history, and some zany hijinks as well. It’s got young love, baseball, the creation of Mount Rushmore, ignorance, and invading aliens. An altogether pleasurable read.
