Great Running guide for beginners By Alex Riches First of all, I want to give props to the author for offering a very complete guide for runners with zero or few experiences under their belt, bacause running could be counterproductive if taken on the wrong foot.About this ebook, I found inspirational the author's story of bodyweight struggle and low self esteem to explain why he wrote the book in first place.In the first chapter you can learn about the best shoes to buy depending on the type of feet you have and what to do in order to get used to them. Also, you can be educated about the best times for running and the necessary items to experience a better running performance.Then, the main rules for outdoor running are explained in a concise but clear way.The second chapter shows a huge list of health benefits confirmed by scientific research. In my opinion, this list alone is a serious mood uplifter.The third chapter instructs you how to warm up and stretching your body in a step-by-step fashion with mny exercises to choose from.The fourth chapter answer one of the most frequent question among the beginner runners: "how many kilometers/miles I shoud run?" in a very detailed and comprehensive manner.The final chapters guides you through a long list of th best foods to eat before and after running (reasons included), and also the simplest and practical ways to keep you motivated before and during a run.All in all, I'm glad to say that this guide is great for both beginners and more advanced athletes who can rediscover some more fun & healthy running.

Hoffman Running for Beginners is a great book for anyone that would like to start a running routine but feels overwhelmed. Even though running as an exercise choice has become more popular there are so many different trails, clothing choices, shoes, etc. that it can easily seem like too much for a beginner to handle. I felt that way and instead of just trying something out I caught myself procrastinating and not running at all. This book had some great points and even included a section about how to choose the basic items necessary and how to stay safe while running. I never considered the point about keeping music low and always thought I would blast something motivational to run to. The author made a great point about how that was an unsafe choice and music should be kept at a level where you can still be aware of your surroundings. I would definitely recommend this book to others that are curious about how to start running today.

By J Blunden If like me you always thought that running just meant putting on your trainers and going for a run then this book will prove you wrong. This book explains in great detail all that a would-be runner should know before taking up the sport or using it as part of a fitness regime. It is packed full of information from how to select the correct pair of running shoes, warming up, diet and motivation. For me the book is great as it has shown me how to enjoy and stay motivated when running, rather than seeing it as just something that I need to do to keep fit and healthy. Recommended to anyone considering taking up running and wanting to get the most out of it.
