By Rob Natiuk We get right into the heart of the story -- Eveline attending her uncle Neville's funeral. No happy thoughts there. But how far do you go to respect the dead when the dead never respected you? In fact, in life uncle Neville molested her and her cousins.But then someone else shows up to make her mind wander more fondly to high school days--Dodge Mallory, the school heartthrob. The boy to whom she said, "I love you," right there in the hallway. But too many years ago to count anymore. Or is it?After the funeral the "bitter" starts to turn into "sweet." So this story works through many bitter memories. I believe you'll like this story as I did. This story is well-written, appeals to the senses, and the dialogue is natural.
