Should have gone Gutenburg By Brewdaddy I got the free version, if I had been paying attention I might have realized that it doesn't include any illustrations. For most books that would be fine, but since this book is on a visual subject specifically, it becomes a little hard to use without pictures. The version on Project Gutenberg is better.

A classic that is outdated and incomplete By J Aidan Gray This is a nice classic guide to heraldry, but the illustrations are hand drawn and very rough and I found the sections to be incomplete in every category. This is okay for background or for your first book on heraldry, but it is not comprehensive and should not be called a "Complete Guide". Get it used and pay less than $5 for it and it will make a suitable addition to your library.
