3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Find your Balance By Zaabaa For those of you who don't know, balance boards are pretty cool things. Imagine a platform with a half-ball on one side. Then you stand on it and improve your physique, balance, and general strength. This book details the many benefits of a balance board, and gives good general advice on how to improve balance, flexibility, and health. I love how the author includes exercises one can do without a balance board, and also talks about the role balance plays in everyday life. If you've ever failed a sobriety test you know what I'm talking about (kidding!!). Moving on, this book's main section, exercises one can perform with a balance board is comprehensive and informative. Each specific exercise includes details on what it strengthens, pictures of it being performed, and step-by-step instructions. There are over 50 different balance-board exercises included, and, although I haven't tried them all, they are all beneficial. A perfect book for those looking for some inner balance.

Incorporate the balance board in your daily exercise routine to change it up and improve your balance. It is also a good program if you are a downhill or cross-country skier or snowboarder. Continue working on the balance board through out the summer and be ready to go back out on the snow in the winter with no muscle soreness. There are many, many exercises for all parts of your body. Exercises are in the sitting, standing, prone and lying on your back. Weighs, bands, kettle balls and the balance board are all used through out the book. There are even yoga poses used on the balance board and a land sports program. So no matter what sport you are interested in, this book is for you. You can be in shape and ready for any adventure.

3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. SO worth the read! By Amazon Customer I've been working really hard to get "in shape" and honestly I had hit a bit of a plateau recently. Nothing I was doing was working. I would exercise and eat as best I could and it just seemed like my body wanted to stay as un-toned as ever. It was frustrating. I honestly never thought one of the solutions to this could be my balance. We think of balance as such an every day thing. I have always brushed it off as a sort of "you have it or you don't," "whatever" sort of deal. I was getting lunch with a friend discussing my weight loss woes and she suggested that I check out Stability Workouts. It had really helped her out. And oh my GOSH! After reading, learning from, and implementing the tools provided to me in this book, my core strength is seriously out of sight! Things that I didn't even think of as challenging (jogging, for example--I never thought it was HARD, I just didn't like it) are now not only so much easier but also more enjoyable. I loved the accessibility this book provides. You can use a chair, bench--anything with a balance board (yes!!! Do it, you won't regret this purchase if you're anything at all like me), and it becomes an instant workout in the best sense possible. I feel like I wasted years not knowing about these workouts, don't make that same mistake! And it isn't even just the exercises. I was so impressed with how accessible the book was to me. I didn't feel like it was a mindless manual, I felt a connection to it. It was just such a great experience overall. Check this out!
